Chart Hills Golf Club.

Chart Hills Golf Club`s ageing American irrigation pumpset was recently replaced by Pumpac. There were a number design constraints due to the site and size of the existing pump house. The pump house contains a concrete ring wet well with a fixed 10" discharge pipe leading out to the course. The golf course has a comprehensive irrigation system which requires a pump set capable of 275m3/hr at 83 m head. The design was undertaken by Pumpac and a system using 2 main duty pumps ( Grundfos CR 150/4/1) and 2 smaller jockey pumps ( Grundfos CRi5/8 ) running on suction lift was decided on. All the pumps are inverter controlled and a one year old panel with 2 x 45 KW inverters ( previously supplied by Pumpac ) was reused and incorporated into the design to help keep the costs down.
The pump set was delivered pre assembled and wet tested and was transported across the site by teleporter and manouvered into place. Pumpac engineers undertook the installation and the system was completed and commisioned within thee days.
