Description

The MIDIPAC is a robust and reliable packaged pumping station designed specifically for small to medium sized sewage and waste applications.

One or two high quality, leading brand, pedestal/guide-rail mounted pumps
A range of tough, one-piece moulded high density polyethylene tanks
All rigid pipe work is in galvanised steel/iron
Cast iron ball check valves with inspection cover
Electro-mechanical control panel to IEE Regulations

The pumping stations are fitted with two pedestal/guide rail mounted pumps in a duty/standby arrangement, single pumps are an option useful in some applications. The pumps are controlled by a wall or kiosk mounted control panel.

The pump station will be sized to meet the requirements of the 2001 Building Regulations which call for 24 hours storage capacity. The pump will be selected to suit the site and duty, for sewage pumping vortex pumps are used wherever possible but should the lift or pumping distance be substantial it may become more appropriate to use a grinder pump. For waste water a channel pump may be preferable. Our years of experience with underground pump stations has guided us towards carefully selected components so as to ensure the reliability and longevity of the product.

The package comprises:

A robust, durable High Density Polyethylene storage tank with 5 tonne galvanised steel, lockable access cover, optional heavy duty covers are available.
One or two guide-rail mounted pumps selected specifically for the application from either Grundfos, Lowara, Pedrollo or Dab. Grinder pumps, 50mm, 80mm and 100mm pumps are used, the selection being determined by the application and system hydraulics. The pump(s) is mounted on a quick coupling pedestal and has fixed galvanised steel guide rails which enable it to be removed from the storage tank completely, and replaced with ease.
Heavy duty galvanised steel pipe work is used throughout. This is terminated at the delivery from the pump station with an appropriately sized PE compression fitting or a galvanised PN16 flange for connection directly to the rising main.
A cast iron ball check valve, designed specifically for laden water in accordance with The Building Regulations (one per pump).
A heavy duty delivery isolation valve.
A control panel built in accordance with IEE Regulations with individual Hand/Off/Auto switches and run/fail indicators for each pump, a high level alarm with optional battery back-up and float switches as required to control the pumps and trigger the high level alarm.
A 4” rubber grommet which is cut into the storage tank on site at a position to accept the incoming 100mm drainage pipe (extra 4” or 6” grommets are available on request).

For example, a packaged pump station with Specification Code Number MID-3000-2-SEV80.80.22-CP would comprise a two Grundfos SEV80.80.22 pumps on guide rails, housed in a 1700mm dia x 2000mm deep storage tank with separate control panel.
