Application

Compact and economical, Monopac, Duopac and Tripac variable speed boosters are for use in domestic and small commercial applications.

Description

The Monopac, Duopac and Tripac variable speed cold water booster sets are designed for use in applications where space and cost are key, they are particularly suited to sites where only a single phase power supply is available.

  • Single or three phase supply
  • 1,2 & 3 pump options
  • 1 to 6 l/sec, up to 8 Bar delivery pressure
  • Variable speed energy efficient pump control
  • High quality components throughout
  • Tough, durable and practical to maintain
  • Copper pipework
  • Two control panel options on multi-pump units
  • Optional soft-start following power failure on multi-pump units
All sets use pumps with motor mounted inverters, the Monopac single pump unit can be plugged directly into a mains RCD unit whilst the Duopac (two pump) and Tripac (three pump) booster sets have a choice of two control panels, a basic isolator panel with the necessary circuit protection to meet IEE regulations with a degree of central operational control and BMS reporting, or alternatively a more advanced panel with individual pump OFF/AUTO switches, pump fault indicators and more extensive BMS reporting.

Typically Grundfos CME and Lowara TKS pumps with integral single or three phase motor mounted inverters are mounted on compact, folded galvanized steel skids. A standard copper pipework arrangement is used that provides a wide degree of flexibility to the installer. All booster set components are readily accessible for maintenance with the plumbing designed to enable removal or replacement of pumps and valves whilst the booster set remains operational.

All Pumpac booster sets can be supplied with a combined break tank positioned over the unit to reduce the overall footprint of the water supply equipment, and significantly reduce installation costs. Combination units come fully fitted and tested requiring plumbing only to the tank inlet valve and from the booster set delivery isolation valve. Pumpac will size the tank if required and can deliver, disassemble and re-assemble on site if access is an issue. The insulated WRAS Approved GRP tanks range from 90 to 7000 litres capacity and can be supplied as one-or two piece units to further aid access (See Pumpac Combination Units).

All Monopac, Duopac and Tripac booster sets are designed to meet the requirements of The Water Regulations. Pumps, valves, pressure vessels and/or all materials in contact with water are WRAS Approved.

The package comprises:

1)    Either 1, 2 or 3 single or three phase pumps with motor-mounted inverters, each with 4-20mA pressure transducer.
2)    Option1 – A basic connection panel built to IEE Regulations providing circuit protection, main isolator, low water level cut-out as a minimum. Low water level and individual pump fault BMS connections are optional.
3)    Option2 – An advanced control panel built to IEE Regulations with door-interlocked isolator, individual Off/Auto switches, individual pump fault indicators and BMS volt-free contacts, a low level cut-out and BMS volt-free contacts.
4)    Copper manifolds as standard.
5)    Individual pump suction and delivery isolation valves and soft-seating spring loaded check valves.
6)    A manifold mounted accumulator with isolation valve on each pump outlet.
7)    Delivery manifold pressure gauge and isolation valve.
8)    Anti-vibration mountings as standard.
9)    All pre-wired and fully wet-tested prior to despatch.

Options include:

1)    Alternative pipework and control panel arrangements to suit the site circumstances.
2)    Fully wet-tested combination units incorporating break/storage tank to reduce both the overall water supply equipment footprint and the overall costs (See Pumpac Combination Units).
3)    Skid mounted 60, 100 or 200 litre accumulators.
4)    Bypass system on skid mounted accumulators to ensure flow through the vessel at Legionella high risk sites such as hospitals and surgeries.
5)    Basic or Advanced control panels as described above.
6)    Soft-start after power failure, an Advanced control panel option only.
7)    GSM Modem fault reporting, an Advanced control panel option only.

Booster Set Specification

Specification Code Number:-   AAAA-BBBB-M-C

AAAA      Booster Set Type                    MONOPAC (1 pump), DUOPAC (2 pump), TRIPAC (3 pump)
BBBB     Pump Model Number
M            Electrical Supply                    (M = 1 x 220Vac Single phase, T = 3 x 380Vac Three Phase,
C            Type of Control Panel            (A = Advanced, B = Basic Connection Panel, space = no panel
